Jolie Pumps It Up For 'Tourist' Stunts

Jolie did her stunts in Salvatore Ferragamo heels. The heel height came down a bit for the most active scenes, but "she basically toughed it out in her shoes," said costume designer Colleen Atwood.

The actress came to her first fitting for the caper flick wearing her own personal pair of metal-tipped stiletto pumps that eventually would become her character Elise's go-to shoes with pairs in black, camel and light pink, said Atwood, who calls the heels elegant and hardworking but "comfortable enough for 10-hour days, which was common on the set."

Atwood, who won Oscars for costume design for "Chicago" and "Memoirs of a Geisha," said the European setting allowed for a very chic, sophisticated wardrobe -- a perfect complement to Jolie's own style.

Her favorite outfit worn by Jolie is a tan sheath, capelet and those pumps.

Overall, "The Tourist" aims to evoke an Alfred Hitchcock sort of style, Atwood said. "In a Hitchcock movie, everyone looked great, even if you were not a particularly chic or fashionable character."
