Lindsay Lohan Axed From Linda Lovelace Flick

Lindsay Lohan might be dong better than ever in rehab, but it seems as though her career has taken a few hits while she's sorted out her health.

The starlet just lost the lead role in the Linda Lovelace biopic, reports Us magazine.

Lindsay Lohan (Pacific Coast News)
We are withdrawing our offer from Lindsay Lohan," the film's director Matthew Wilder announced Friday.

Apparently the decision wasn't personal, the film just couldn't wait for LiLo any longer.  "We have stuck by Lindsay very Lindsay+Lohan in Lindsay Lohan in Palm Desert patiently for a long time with a lot of love and support,"

Wilder said. "Ultimately, the impossibility of insuring her -- and some other issues -- have made it impossible for us to go forward."

It's unclear who will take Lindsay's place in Inferno, but apparently there's already another gal in mind. "We are currently in negotiations [with another actress] and working out the legalities of bringing her onboard," Wilder said.
