Lindsay Lohan To Drop The 'Lohan'

From today forward, the actress formerly known as Lindsay Lohan will go only by Lindsay. According to PopEater, Lindsay's mother, Dina, says that Lindsay will join the ranks of Madonna, Cher and Saddam on the list of people known by only their first name.
That's a bold move, and by bold move, I mean totally ridiculous. She can't just claim such a common name. Madonna, Usher, Fergie, Prince, Bob the crazy guy who yells at himself to get pumped up before he uses the bench press at the gym--those are all names fit to be claimed for one-name status. It's an elite class, and a really tough sell for a name that ranks 524 among the most popular in the U.S. (Lindsey is 326). Maybe she should just start with a symbol and make a case for the single name later. How about !%%! surrounded by a trapezoid?
The ultimate decision on the name will be made by the Council of Show Business Single-Name Status, and it's sure to be a no ma'am! Really though, Lindsay Lohan will probably soon be known only by a set of numbers on an orange jumpsuit.

Lindsay Lohan and Sam Ronson Have Friendly Dinner Date

Those who eat together, stay together.

Fresh out of her rehab stint at Betty Ford, Lindsay Lohan has already been out with former flame Sam Ronson.

On Saturday night, the neighbors (Lohan has moved into a home next door to Ronson in Venice) enjoyed a meal together at Joe's in Venice.

"They shared a friendly dinner," a source tells People . "Lindsay has been begging Sam to see her and Sam finally gave in."

The two then took an after-dinner stroll around Venice.

Lohan went to the Lakers game on Sunday night, where she rooted on her hometown team, the New York Knicks, and had a conversation with Ronson via Twitter.

"I think the knicks are jet lagged. they're getting sleepy right now - someone wake em up!!!" Ronson tweeted.

Lohan tweeted back: "They played well though :)."

Looks like Lohan and Ronson are back to their old ways of chatting in Twitterland.

Lindsay Lohan Gets Sobriety Advice From Tom Hardy

Lindsay Lohan was released from the Betty Ford clinic last week after completing a three-month court-ordered rehabilitation program, and she's reportedly become close with Inception star Tom Hardy.

Sources claim Tom -- who has been sober since 2003 after battling his own alcohol and drug addiction -- has been advising the 24-year-old actress on how to stay away from temptation and she has been taking his words seriously.

As well as befriending Tom, 33, Lindsay is set to get a new housemate.

Lohan recently moved to a new pad in Venice Beach, Los Angeles, but she won’t be living there alone. A patient she met at the Betty Ford clinic will also be moving in.

The girl, who has been sober longer than Lindsay, will share the place and won’t pay any rent because she is struggling for cash at the moment, reports gossip website TMZ.

Lindsay has also been seen out with ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson and while they had dinner in West Hollywood over the weekend, insiders insist they are not back together.

Lindsay Lohan Runs Into 'Second Mother' Jamie Lee Curtis

Lindsay Lohan just so happened to run into her "second mother" Jamie Lee Curtis while out and about in LA yesterday. Hopefully Jamie had some good pearls of wisdom for Lindsay, who's fresh out of rehab.

LiLo's dad Michael told E! News: "We will see that all the people that were in Lindsay's life when things were going well, when she was in Freaky Friday, Mean Girls, are now coming back into her life. She is going back to her roots, going back to all the people who were in her life when she was doing good. I believe she is going to prove to the entire Industry she is back for good."

Lindsay left rehab on Tuesday and is also set to relocate from her West Hollywood home to a new, four-bedroom house in the city's Venice area - which is opposite the home of her ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson, whom she has had a volatile on/off relationship with since September 2008.

Sam, 33, is said to be upset her former girlfriend is moving in so close, but Michael - who was divorced from Lindsay's mother Dina in 2007 - insists Lindsay will move if necessary.
He added: "If it is going to make a problem, she will move. But she has already paid one month rent."

Lindsay was ordered to serve her rehab sentence for breaching the conditions of her probation relating to a 2007 conviction for driving under the influence (DUI). Although she is free, Lindsay will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing with a psychiatrist until a court hearing on February 24, where it will be decided what will happen next.

Lindsay Lohan Prepares To Leave Rehab, Tweets Message Of Hope

We can hardly believe it: Lindsay Lohan is just a day away from freedom! She's been undergoing rehab treatment at the Betty Ford Center since October, and will be able to leave the facility (hopefully for good) tomorrow.

It looks like the troubled starlet is already getting back into the swing of things, and even resurfaced on Twitter yesterday to write a motivational blurb about the future -- with a little help from Ghandi. She wrote: " "Today is the first day of the rest of my life. 'The future depends on what we do in the present.' Lindsay+Lohan in Lindsay Lohan Shops in Palm Springs-Mahatma Gandhi… One step at a time…"

Word has it LiLo will go into hiding once she's free from rehab, then will resurface in public when the time is right. Best of luck, Lindsay!

Michael Lohan Worried Lindsay Will Relapse If He And Her Mom Don't Start Getting Along

Michael Lohan is keen for his troubled daughter to stay sober when she leaves her court-ordered stint at the Betty Ford Clinic next week. He's spoken with Lindsay's advisors to help persuade his ex-wife Dina to agree to meet with him so they can put their problems behind them.

He said: "I am getting in touch with Lindsay's team, including Tom Hansen, Blair Berk, Lou Taylor and Shawn Chapman Holley, in the hope of trying, again, to have them persuade Dina to sit down so we both can iron out our differences.

"Quite frankly, everyone knows this, including all the counselors and therapists. Dina and I need to get along and put our differences aside if Lindsay is going to have any chance at a full recovery without relapse."

Michael has urged Dina -- who has repeatedly accused him of failing to pay child support for their youngest kids, Ali, 17, and 14-year-old Cody -- to forget about their previous problems and put their family first by staying civil to one another.

He added to RadarOnline.com: "Everyone has been asking Dina to sort out her issues with me, but the general consensus is that she simply can't admit or take responsibility and she is afraid to do so.

"But that isn't even part of it, she doesn't have to admit anything. All she has to do is keep Lindsay and the kids out of our differences and try to get along for their sake.

"She can make all the claims she likes about child support -- the truth of which is that every cent owed has been paid and even more -- but there is a much deeper and important issue here: Lindsay's health is first and foremost. Our kids are first and we should be second."

Lindsay Lohan To Leave Rehab In A Few Days

Lindsay Lohan is set next week to leave the Betty Ford Center, where she has been undergoing court-mandated rehab stemming from a 2007 drunken driving and drug possession case.

Lindsay Lohan's mug shot from Sept. 24, 2010, after she was ordered back to jail for violating the terms of her probation again. She had Tweeted a week earlier that she had failed a court-mandated drug test.

In October, a judge ruled the 24-year-old actress, who has been sent to jail several times for the conviction and for violating the terms of her probation, must undergo treatment until Jan. 3, 2011. Her father, Michael, says Lohan will leave the treatment facility on Tuesday, a day later, and move into a new home in Los Angeles, CNN reported.

Lohan's next court date is on Feb. 25, 2011. If a judge rules she has stayed clean and sober, her supervised probation could end. If not, she could be sent to jail for another stint - this time, lasting up to 180 days.

Lohan has completed a total of three stints behind bars - the first lasting 84 minutes, the second, 14 days. In September, she spent 15 hours in jail after she failed a drug test and wrote about it on her Twitter page. She entered a rehabilitation center days later.

Lohan has undergone also treatment in rehab centers several times, including for unrelated incidents. Her most recent stint began in late September.

Lohan, known for her roles in "Freaky Friday" and "Mean Girls, pleaded guilty in 2007 to being under the influence of cocaine and no contest to driving with a blood-alcohol level above 0.08 percent and reckless driving.

She was recently dropped from a movie role following her turmoil. She was set to play Linda Lovelace, who shot to fame with the 1972 film "Deep Throat," in a new movie about her life, called "Inferno." Director Matthew Wilder says the film is moving on without Lohan.

Earlier this month, a Betty Ford Center technician accused Lindsay Lohan of attacking her after allegedly refusing take a breathalyzer test. A criminal battery investigation was opened and the actress was named as a suspect, although no arrests were made.

The technician was later fired after speaking to the press and retracted her comments, saying the actress never committed a crime and that the complaint would be dropped.

Rehab Worker Decides To Drop Charges Against Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan got a nice pre-Christmas present: The rehab worker who claimed the starlet assaulted her has decided to the drop charges. Apparently the woman, Dawn Holland, now wants nothing to do with a potential criminal investigation against the actress.

"Dawn will not continue to press charges against Lindsay, nor will she be assisting any further in the investigation or prosecution," her lawyer said.

When news broke about the scuffle between Dawn and Lindsay when the actress arrived back at the Betty Ford Center after curfew on December 12, it appeared as though Holland would be pressing charges. She claimed Lindsay "twisted" her arm while trying to pull a phone away. Holland also said she went to the hospital because of her injuries.

Just hours after Holland spoke to TMZ about the incident, she was fired from the rehab center for violating their confidentiality terms.

Now, Holland, who is also a recovering addict, is singing a different tune, and apparently doesn't want "in any way shape or form to do anything that would violate Lindsay's probation or cause an arrest," the lawyer said.

Although the chemical tech doesn't want to pursue the case, it's ultimately up to the authorities to decide whether LiLo will be prosecuted.

Lindsay Lohan Celebrates 100th Day Sober

Congratulations to Lindsay Lohan! The actress, who is currently undergoing treatment at the Betty Ford rehabilitation facility in Malibu, has been doing well enough in recovery to be allowed to drive again and take day trips.

Her father Michael, who has recently returned to the 24-year-old star’s life following a long period of estrangement, has praised her for her success.

He told RadarOnline.com: “I hope she has a decade more.”

Lindsay must continue undergoing rehabilitation until January 3 as part of her court order from Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Elden Fox.

Earlier this month it was revealed Lindsay would have to stay in California for Christmas instead of heading to New York to be with her mother Dina and the rest of her family.

A source explained at the time: “Dina wants Lindsay to go home to Long Island for Christmas, but that won't be happening. Judge Elden Fox was very clear with his order that he wanted her to stay in rehab until after New Year's.Lindsay+Lohan in Lindsay Lohan Grabs Coffee with a Friend

"Lindsay won't be allowed to leave the state of California for Christmas -- period. It was never a consideration for Thanksgiving and it won't be for Christmas. Dina wants her home, but her dad Michael is supporting whatever Lindsay's treatment team is recommending."

Lindsay Lohan Axed From Linda Lovelace Flick

Lindsay Lohan might be dong better than ever in rehab, but it seems as though her career has taken a few hits while she's sorted out her health.

The starlet just lost the lead role in the Linda Lovelace biopic, reports Us magazine.

Lindsay Lohan (Pacific Coast News)
We are withdrawing our offer from Lindsay Lohan," the film's director Matthew Wilder announced Friday.

Apparently the decision wasn't personal, the film just couldn't wait for LiLo any longer.  "We have stuck by Lindsay very Lindsay+Lohan in Lindsay Lohan in Palm Desert patiently for a long time with a lot of love and support,"

Wilder said. "Ultimately, the impossibility of insuring her -- and some other issues -- have made it impossible for us to go forward."

It's unclear who will take Lindsay's place in Inferno, but apparently there's already another gal in mind. "We are currently in negotiations [with another actress] and working out the legalities of bringing her onboard," Wilder said.
