Jennifer Grey was named the new "Dancing With the Stars" champ, despite painful neck and back injuries and a voting bloc for Bristol Palin.
The actress, who is 50, beat out actor Kyle Massey and Bristol Palin for the top spot in season 11 of the ABC show Tuesday.
Grey was partnered with professional dancer Derek Hough and the pair earned a series of perfect scores along the way. She and Hough earned a perfect score for their two dances on Monday's show the final bid for viewer votes, which count for half of contestants' total scores.
Grey was favored to win but said she wasn't sure. “I’m feeling very pressured because we haven’t rehearsed. And we have to go rehearse now,” she told reporters after Monday’s show. “I can’t even talk. I’m not confident. I’m never confident.”
Massey finished Monday's episode in second place with 56 points out of a possible 60, while Palin landed in third with 52 points.
“Pain you forget, but this I will remember for the rest of my life,” Jennifer told reporters earlier that Tuesday night.
Grey overcame an old injury in her neck and a new one in her knee to win the title.
